A virtual number service built like a payments product
Because it holds your money, not just your data.
What we do
SMSPVO gives you a working phone number for as long as you need one — a few minutes for a single verification, or months for a line you keep. Messages sent to it appear in your dashboard as they arrive.
We do not operate telephone infrastructure. We resell capacity from upstream suppliers through a provider abstraction, which means we can add and remove suppliers without changing anything you interact with, and route each order to whoever has stock at the best price.
How we build
A few decisions shape everything else:
- Money is a ledger, not a number in a column. Every credit and debit is a permanent, immutable entry. Your balance is derived from them, never edited in place. A reconciliation job verifies this continuously.
- Prices are computed on the server. A price submitted by a browser is never trusted. The figure is calculated when you buy and frozen onto the order, so later pricing changes cannot alter what you already paid.
- Refunds are automatic. If a number never receives its message, you get your money back without asking. We would rather refund proactively than rely on customers noticing.
- Secrets stay on the server. Supplier and payment credentials are encrypted at rest and never reach a browser, a log, or the audit trail.
What we will not do
We do not publish invented statistics. Every number on this site is counted from our own database; where a figure cannot be computed, we show a dash rather than a plausible guess.
We do not sell to people using our numbers for fraud, impersonation or harassment, or to evade another platform’s security. Our acceptable use policy says exactly what that means and we enforce it.
We do not pretend our numbers work everywhere. Some platforms reject virtual numbers. Some country and service combinations have no stock. We show that honestly rather than taking payment for something we cannot deliver.
Data and retention
Message contents are redacted automatically after the retention window in our privacy policy. We keep what is needed to bill you correctly and investigate abuse, and no more.
